Did you know that you can purchase a headset with a microphone for as little as twenty dollars? You can use the equipment to record your voice, reading a script, as I’m doing now. For easier reading, use larger fonts and double spacing for your script format.
Begin by clicking the START icon on the desktop. In the search menu, type in: SOUND RECORDER. Click on the microphone icon and drag it to your desktop for future use.

Double click the microphone and a simulated recording icon appears. Plug the headset into your computer. Situate your script, get comfortable and begin recording. Save the recording as either a WAV, MP3, MP4, or by using a file extension of your choice.
Finally, listen to your recording. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by your own voice attributes. You can record until the sound byte meets your approval.
