OCEANSIDE, CA – Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro, the largest women's surf contest in the world, returned to Oceanside over the weekend. The 12th annual event kicked off Friday and ran through Sunday at the Oceanside Pier.
Three-time world champion Carissa Moore of Honolulu, Hawaii, took home the gold Sunday after edging out Caroline Marks of Melbourne Beach, Florida, in the final. It was her first time claiming the top prize at the competition.
More than 140,000 people come to Oceanside every year for Supergirl Pro. The three-day event features competitions, concerts, food and drinks, vendor booths and more.
