VISTA, CA – An accidental fire that started in the master bedroom of a Vista apartment was contained to one unit, according to authorities.
Firefighters were called to the eight-unit apartment complex shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Lupine Hills Drive, where they found smoke and flames coming out of an upstairs window, according to Vista Deputy Fire Chief Ned Vander Pol.
It took firefighters from Vista, San Marcos and Carlsbad about 20 minutes to put out the fire and keep it from spreading to other apartments, Vander Pol said.
