1 Dead In Solo Crash On 5 Freeway In Santa Ana
The crash was reported at 5:29 a.m. on the Interstate 5 freeway near the Garden Grove freeway junction in Santa Ana.
SANTA ANA, CA — One person died after a car crashed into a center divider on the Interstate 5 freeway traveling southbound in Santa Ana early Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident prompted an ongoing SigAlert as authorities investigate the scene of the crash.
The crash was reported at 5:29 a.m. after a silver Toyota reportedly crashed into a center divider on a junction of the freeway, authorities said. The crash blocked several lanes on the freeway and created slow-moving traffic for much of Friday morning.

The identity of the deceased person has not been released pending next-of-kin notification, authorities said.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while the SigAlert is in place.
