ORANGE COUNTY, CA — One lucky Orange County fairgoer won big after playing the California Lottery, lottery officials said this weekend.

The player — who has not yet come forward — won the million dollar prize after buying a Multiplier Craze Scratchers ticket from the CA Lottery LIVE! booth at the Orange County fire.

The booth is a partnership between the state lottery and a lucky retailer chosen by officials; the retailer in question at this year's fair is 5 Star Liquor in Westminster.

5 Star Liquor owner Maysa Dagher told officials that a man "showed a lot of excitement" and even proclaimed that he won; however, he told Dagher to keep it under wraps.

“He actually came back to the window and said, ‘I know I won something, but don’t say anything aloud, and tell me if it’s true’,” Dagher told the California Lottery.

Any winning player can come forward to claim their prize by either mailing the ticket in or by visiting one of nine California Lottery offices.
