18-Year-Old OC College Student Dead After Frat Party, Police Say

The young man was dropped off just after midnight Sunday at St. Jude's Medical Center's Emergency Center in Fullerton.

FULLERTON, CA — An 18-year-old Cal State Fullerton student died Sunday after he attended a party hosted by an unaffiliated fraternity, authorities said Wednesday.

Fullerton police officers were dispatched to the scene at St. Jude's Medical Center after receiving reports of a young man who had been dropped off at the hospital's emergency center.

According to police, medical staff tried to save the young man, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The young man was identified as 18-year-old Anthony Joseph Blas, a Cal State Fullerton student.

According to the Fullerton Police Department, Blas had been attending a party hosted by an unaffiliated fraternity, and alcohol was a factor in his death.

Hazing was not thought to be a factor, police said.
