ORANGE, CA — Three out of the four victims of Wednesday's shooting in the City of Orange were publicly identified by police on Friday.
Those identified were 28-year-old Jenevieve Raygoza, 50-year-old Luis Tovar and 9-year-old Mathew Farias, the Orange County Police Department said on Facebook. The boy's mother, identified by Channel 7 as Ismeralda Tamayo and byKTLA5 as Blanca Tamayo, remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said at a Thursday news conference, "It appears that a little boy died in his mother's arms as she tried to save him during this horrific massacre."

Authorities said Thursday that the suspect had business and personal relationships with each other, and the shooting was not a random act of violence.
The 44-year-old suspect, Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez, was charged Friday with four counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder.
Charges against Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez include a special circumstance allegation of multiple murders and two counts of attempted murder of a police officer, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Gonzalez fired at two police officers when they reached the scene of the shooting, where authorities say the suspect had chained the gates to the business complex closed with bicycle cable-type locks before the attack.
If convicted, Gonzalez could become eligible for the death penalty.
"The taking of the life of another human being is the most serious of crimes and the slaughter of multiple people while they were essentially locked in a shooting gallery is nothing short of terrifying," District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement.

Gonzalez, who was shot by police in the courtyard of the building at 202 W. Lincoln Ave., is scheduled to be arraigned from his hospital bed Friday afternoon.
"Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and our community who have all been impacted," department officials wrote in a statement on Friday.
A GoFundMe effort was launched Thursday by Thalia Tovar — who said she was Tovar's daughter and Raygoza's sister — that had raised $20,075 by Friday afternoon. The fundraiser is meant to gather funds for funeral services and medical expenses for all the families affected, Tovar wrote.
"We are still in shock and trying to fathom and grasp our heads around this tragic event," Tovar wrote on the fundraising website. "Please keep all of us affected in your prayers, including our loved one who is still fighting for her life in critical condition. Any amount is appreciated."
She said Leticia Solis and Matthew Farias, a young boy, were also among the victims. Posts on the same GoFundMe page identified Farias' mother, Blanca Tamayo, as the attack's wounded survivor.
