4 OC Cities Are Safest Towns To Raise Your Children In California
These Orange County cities ranked high in the Safewise 2019 report on the 50 Safest Cities to Raise A Family.
IRVINE, CA — Irvine is among the top safest cities in California — and the 10th safest nationwide — to raise a child, according to SafeWise's 2019 report on the "50 Safest Cities to Raise a Child." The report looked at statistics such as violent crime rates, sex offender rates, property crime rates, and graduation rates, among others.
San Ramon was the safest California city, ranking at 7 on the list of safe cities, and Irvine ranked as the 10th safest city to raise a child in California. San Ramon achieved an overall safety score of 94.40 (out of a possible 100, and was bested by the following cities:

#2. Newton, Massachusetts

#4. Fishers, Indiana
#5. Flower Mound, Texas
#6. Plymouth, Minnesota
#7. San Ramon
#8. Hoover, Alabama

#10. Irvine, California
