93-Year-Old OC Woman ID'd In Fiery Crash
The Orange County woman was fatally injured when the car she was driving in crashed with another vehicle in Huntington Beach.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A 93-year-old woman was identified by authorities Friday after she was fatally injured when the car she was driving in crashed with another vehicle in Huntington Beach.
The crash was reported at around 4:40 p.m. Sunday, May 11, near Magnolia Street and Garfield Avenue, the Huntington Beach Police Department reported.
Mary Margaret Machulda of Fountain Valley died at UCI Medical Center, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

According to Huntington Beach police officers, Machulda was driving a Buick Riviera north on Magnolia Street when she turned left onto Garfield Avenue in front of a southbound Jeep Wrangler, and the vehicles collided.
The other motorist was identified as a 48-year-old Huntington Beach man who remained at the scene and was interviewed by authorities. He was not injured.

Impairment did not immediately appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
