SANTA ANA, CA — Authorities sought the public's help in identifying a woman seen on video inside a restaurant hurtling her order at an employee earlier this month.
The incident happened on May 12 at a restaurant in the 1300 block of West 17th Street, near Santa Ana College.
In footage acquired from the exchange, a woman is seen standing in front of the counter holding a bowl of food in what appears to be a Chipotle.
The footage then shows her launch the order directly at the employee, striking them hard in the chest.
The impact of the throw sent food spraying in the air and across the employee's uniform.
Santa Ana police said the incident began with a verbal altercation regarding the woman's order.
She was described by police as possibly Hispanic, between 18 and 25 years old, with long dark hair.
She was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and loose dark-colored pants with a light-colored polka dot pattern.
Anyone who recognizes the woman was asked to contact the SAPD at 714-245-8403.
