Man Killed After Scuffle With Security Guard At OC Bikini Bar, Police Say

ORANGE, CA — A man was fatally injured during a scuffle with a security guard at a bar in Orange after initially being escorted out of the establishment for disturbing patrons, authorities said Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of an unconscious male in the parking lot of Bikini in a Bottle 2, 1535 W. Chapman Ave., at about 11 p.m. Saturday, according to the Orange Police Department.

They found a 39-year-old man with head injuries. Arriving paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

"The male was involved in a disturbance with patrons inside the bar," according to a police statement. "Security personnel asked him to leave and later escorted him outside. Investigators learned he subsequently returned and attempted to re-enter the bar before an altercation with a security guard."

The guard struck him once in the head, causing him to fall, police said.

The security guard remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, authorities added.
