HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — The community is reeling after disturbing video of a man appearing to harm a small dog near a dock in Huntington Beach went viral.
Video sent in to KTLA shows a man picking up a small pug and hanging it over his shoulder by the collar at the Huntington Harbor Marina early Sunday morning.
The owner of the video told KTLA that after reviewing the footage, he immediately called police to report the abuse.
Huntington Beach Police officers arrested 32-year-old William Kenneth Slocum, of Desert Hot Springs, soon after. The pup was turned over to Orange County Animal Care, and its current status is not known, according to KTLA.
