Anaheim Burglary: Two Suspects Arrested, One Remains At Large

Anaheim cops sought a burglary suspect after a Ball & Nutwood area chase. Anaheim Schools were temporarily locked down during the search.

ANAHEIM, CA — Angel helicopter circled the area of Nutwood and Ball Road after a burglary was reported in the area in the 1300 block of south Hacienda Tuesday morning, Anaheim Police said.

Responding officers saw three suspects leaving the home in a vehicle, which crashed when pursued, Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Daron Wyatt told Patch. Three black males exited the vehicle on foot and two were quickly taken into custody. The third remained at large, causing Anaheim Police to establish a perimeter search, he said.

During the search, multiple schools were on "level three" lockdown during the search, the lowest form of lockdown, to ensure student safety. As of 10:30 a.m. only Gilbert and Loara High Schools remained on lockdown, Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt told Patch. By noon, all school lockdowns were lifted.
