Anaheim Motel Guest Shot To Death In Parking Lot

ANAHEIM, CA — An as-of-yet unidentified man was shot and killed at an Anaheim motel parking area, police say.

The 51-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, was shot just before 7 a.m. outside the Anaheim Lodge at the 800 block of S. Beach Blvd., said Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer.

"We have no idea what the motive of the shooting was," he said.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he died about an hour and a half later, Carringer said.

Police were questioning witnesses to try to identify suspects and determine a motive, the sergeant said.
