Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Car In North OC, Info Sought
The Orange resident was declared dead at the scene Saturday night, authorities said.
ORANGE, CA — A bicyclist was struck and killed by a car Saturday in Orange, and police are seeking more information on the crash, the Orange Police Department reported.
Police were dispatched on Saturday, April 22 at around 10:50 p.m. to the area of Chapman Avenue and Rancho Santiago Boulevard to respond to a crash involving a vehicle and bike.
The bicyclist, who was only identified as a man from Orange, was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities said he was riding his bike north across Chapman Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle driving east.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as a Yorba Linda man, who remained at the scene and worked with investigators.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor for the driver, police said.
