Bicyclist ID'd In Fatal Santa Ana Crash
Authorities on Tuesday identified a 67-year-old man who was struck by a vehicle and killed while riding a bicycle in Santa Ana.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A 67-year-old man who was struck by a vehicle and killed while riding a bicycle in Santa Ana was identified Monday, City News Service reported.
John Story died in the crash, according to the Orange County coroner's office. His city of residence was not available.
The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue, according to Santa Ana police.

It appeared the cyclist was southbound on Bristol Street, and the vehicle was eastbound on Edinger Avenue, police said.
Paramedics took the bicyclist identified as Story to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

The vehicle's driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. There was no indication that speed or intoxication were factors.
