Big Changes Underway at Eclectic LAB Anti-Mall
New tenant offerings are now expanding at The LAB in Orange County's burgeoning South Coast Metro locale
The LAB Anti-Mall, now more than 30 years “young” at its Bristol Street location within South Coast Metro, announces big changes ahead. As of February 1st, its longstanding anchor tenant, Urban Outfitters, has moved off property and renovations to expand new tenant offerings begins.
Linda Sadeghi, original owner, said: “When we sought Urban as our anchor many years ago, it was for their first store in the OC, and they were privately owned. Thirty years later, and they are now an international public conglomerate with over 700 stores worldwide. No longer quite the ‘local entrepreneur’ that we built our business to support.” (Note: The LAB is an acronym for “little American business”).
Plans are already progressing on the redesign of the Urban space – offering several local businesses a new home within the eclectic LAB community. Longtime tenants include Habana, Buffalo Exchange, Seabirds, Eco-Now, Nook Coffee, Kuro Pizza and the Michelin- rated Hana Re, among so many others. “We’re creating peekaboo windows so our patrons can witness the creative remodel process,” said Linda. “Look for announcements of new retail and services coming in the weeks ahead and opening by year end!”
