Body Found In Home Damaged By Fire In OC

A body was found Wednesday in an abandoned home damaged by a fire in Orange County, the OC Fire Authority reported.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A body was found Wednesday in an abandoned house that was damaged by a fire in Santa Ana, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

Firefighters were dispatched at about 2:55 a.m. to the 2000 block of North Bush Street, authorities said.

While the flames were quickly extinguished, a body was found inside of the home, firefighters said.

"Sadly, one individual was found deceased inside the structure," the OCFA said in a statement on social media. "The cause is under investigation."

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the person who was found dead.
