Body Found Inside Car Trunk In North OC: Police

STANTON, CA —A man's body was found inside of an abandoned car parked on the 12000 block of Leafwood, Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

On Friday, Orange County sheriff's deputies were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked on the 12000 block of Leafwood, which is a residential neighborhood, Braun said.

Answering the call of concerned neighbors, deputies arrived at the scene to find a gray or silver sedan with a smashed driver's side window. Upon further investigation, they noticed blood on the vehicle's exterior," she told us.

As deputies examined the car, they found the dead man inside the trunk.

The Orange County Coroner's office arrived on the scene at approximately 3 p.m., and will be able to determine the identity of that person, the cause of death and approximate time of death, Braun said.
