SANTA ANA, CA — An 18-year-old man was shot to death Saturday evening at a nightclub in Orange County, authorities reported Sunday.

Around 10:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in downtown Santa Ana at 300 W. 5th Street, where they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

The man, identified as Zion Gonzalez, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting occurred during the establishment's open mic night, according to a watch commander at the Santa Ana Police Department.
