Bonsai is the ancient Japanese art of cultivating miniature trees in containers. On May 12, 2026 at 7 p.m. The Orange County Organic Garden Club is hosting an introduction to bonsai, with an emphasis on tree species with edible fruit.
Our presenters, David Meitz and Debra Mauzy-Melitz, have been involved in bonsai for 13 years. They have extensive training and studied under bonsai sensei Al Nelson.
The meeting at Centennial Farm in the Orange County Fairgrounds (88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa 92627) is free and open to the public. Drive through the main gate of the fairgrounds at 88 Fair Drive, turn left and park near the Centennial Farm entrance.
