Car Drives Into OC Donut Shop, Closing Business: How To Help

The car caused extensive damage to the business and forced the family-owned operation to close until further notice.

ANAHEIM, CA — A family-run donut shop is temporarily closed after a car crashed through the front of Donut Star in Anaheim, causing extensive damage and stopping operations.

The Chhay family runs the shop daily to support the family's four children and relies entirely on the business for income, according to the GoFundMe.

"Luckily, no one was injured. The entire front half of the store was damaged as the car was only stopped by crashing into the counter and display case," the fundraiser shared. "They are not able to start repairs on the store until the driver's insurance settles the case and even then, the repairs will take several weeks."
