Car Fire Breaks Out, Stalls Traffic On 405 Freeway: CHP
Early morning traffic stalled on the San Diego (405) Freeway Monday morning due to the fire, authorities said.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A car fire erupted on the San Diego (405) Freeway Monday, stalling rush hour traffic and triggering a police response, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 7:49 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Warner Avenue in Fountain Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses reported seeing "visible flames from underneath the vehicle," which was stalled in one of the freeway's slow lanes.
