Car Plunges Off OC Canyon Road, Prompting Rescue: OCFA
Firefighters rushed to the scene of a victim in need of urgent assistance this week in Black Star Canyon.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A woman who found herself in urgent need of help after her car plunged off the side of a canyon road in Orange County was rescued thanks to Orange County firefighters.
The incident was reported Monday night in Black Star Canyon, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Upon arrival, firefighters quickly found the patient, treated and packaged her before conducting a dynamic short-haul operation.

"We utilize this to safely lift a victim out of a location that we cannot carry them out of," an OCFA statement read. "In this instance, it was due to an extremely steep embankment that the car had driven off."
The victim was treated and moved to a local hospital. Her condition was not immediately known.
