Car Slams Through OC Home, Killing Mother In Possible DUI
The 40-year-old woman was killed after a car crashed through the wall of her Orange County home.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A Riverside man was arrested Monday on suspicion of a fatal crash into a Garden Grove home early Sunday, authorities said.
The 35-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, crashed a 2019 Toyota Camry into the bedroom of a house in the 11800 block of Magnolia Street at about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old Janet Carrillo, wife and mother of two teenage boys, KTLA reported.

Authorities received several calls of a hit-and-run around the time of the crash, and upon arriving, found the suspect after he left the scene. He was arrested without incident, police said.
Carrillo was trapped by the vehicle that crashed into her home and was later pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police alleged the suspect was apparently under the influence and that it appears to have contributed to the crash.
