Community Rallies To Support OC Police Officer Injured In Crash
Orange County residents are showing their support for a police officer who was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on his way to work.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Orange County residents are rallying to support a Huntington Beach police officer after he was critically injured while driving his police motorcycle to work in Long Beach.
Officer Jeremy Roberts was driving his motorcycle on Bellflower Boulevard near Atherton Street when a car struck him and left the officer with critical injuries.
According to a GoFundMe page set up for the Roberts family, Jeremy suffered multiple serious injuries from the crash including bilateral wrist fractures, a cervical spine fracture, cracked sternum and two crushed vertebrae.

"His road to recovery will be long and hard," family friend Candice Higgs wrote on the family's GoFundMe page. "When he's discharged from the hospital, we know Katie will take amazing care of him, but she will also be caring for their three young children."
As of Thursday, the Roberts family's GoFundMe page had raised over $17,000 out of a $10,000 goal.
