Condo Goes Up In Smoke In Santa Ana
Possible drug lab activity sparked an explosion and fire in Santa Ana, police say. OC Sheriff's Department bomb squad investigated the scene
SANTA ANA, CA — Possible drug lab activity caused an explosion and subsequent fire at a condominium in Santa Ana, Wednesday, authorities said.
An explosion occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. in the area of 2900 block of Bradford Place, Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.
"A witness flagged down an officer and identified a suspicious vehicle that left the scene after the explosion," Bertagna said."Officers tracked down the vehicle and found marijuana and items used to extract the drug's oils inside."

Orange County Sheriff's Department's bomb squad headed out to the area to investigate the burning condominium, he said. No one was believed to have been injured in the blaze or the explosion, according to authorities.
