County's Largest Maternal Health Nonprofit Names New Board Members
Dr. Lisa Cowan, Kathy O'Donnell and Victor Villanueva Join the MOMS Orange County's Board of Directors
MOMS Orange County, the county’s largest nonprofit dedicated solely to newborn and pregnancy health, proudly announces the appointment of three new board members including Dr. Lisa Cowan, Kathy O’Donnell and Victor Villanueva.
Lisa Cowan, DNP is the Executive Director of Women’s and Children’s Services at Providence St. Joseph and formerly served as the Regional Director of Maternal Child Health for a major health system in Northern California. An Advanced Board-Certified Nurse Executive and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Dr. Cowan is a 20-year leadership executive in acute care and outpatient settings primarily in maternal-child health. A clinically trained women’s health nurse practitioner, Dr. Cowan is focused on ensuring that women receive culturally sensitive, safe, and equitable care during their childbirth experience and postpartum period.
Dr. Cowan reflects, “It is my honor and privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for MOMS Orange County. The organization does incredible work to support women, children, and families. The difference that MOMS Orange County makes in the lives of so many families is significant. Serving on the Board will allow me to personally and professionally contribute to the great work of this amazing nonprofit organization in our community.”

Founder and Executive Director of the O’Donnell Family Foundation, Kathy O’Donnell works to promote economic mobility focusing on programs advancing pre-and post-natal support, early education, and first-generation college support. A marketing professional and recent graduate of Columbia University’s nonprofit management program, O’Donnell has a keen interest in philanthropy and fundraising.
“With enormous gratitude and dedication and driven by a profound desire to uplift mothers and families within our community, I humbly step onto the board of MOMS Orange County. I pledge to advocate for maternal and child health, ensuring every mother receives the care, support, and resources they deserve. I was born to teen parents so have a strong personal connection to this remarkable organization,” said O’Donnell.

Victor Villanueva is co-owner of StrikeWorks Solutions, a Southern Calif.-based managed IT service provider specializing in supplemental IT and specialized IT projects, with a focus on mid-market and enterprise business. With over 10 years of IT Management, compliance and consulting experience, he has worked with companies in the finance, healthcare, nonprofit, manufacturing and other private sectors.
Villanueva says, “The work of MOMS Orange County really speaks to me as someone who was born in the same circumstances as many of the MOMS’ babies. The synergy between MOMS OC and me is very much there.”
