Cross County Freeway Pursuit Ends At Disneyland Way, 2 Hospitalized

Sheriff's Deputies from LA County pursued robbery suspects from Lakewood to Anaheim early Friday, ending with an early morning collision.

ANAHEIM, CA — At least two people were injured in a crash at Disneyland Way and Anaheim Boulevard early Friday morning following a cross-county pursuit of robbery suspects.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies began following robbery suspects after an early morning incident in Lakewood, according to media reports.

Deputies followed the suspect's vehicle into Orange County, where it collided with another car.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue Department medics took two people to ICU Medical Center in unknown condition, according to reports from the scene.

An early morning series of robberies in the Lakewood area is believed to have stemmed the pursuit.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., suspects in that incident took l$3,500 in lottery tickets and cigarettes from multiple 7-Elevens in a crime spree before driving away in a stolen white Kia. LA County Deputies then initiated the pursuit, according to reports from Fox 11.

No arrests have been announced, and there was no word if the stolen property was recovered.
