Disneyland Expands Alcohol Service To 3 Park Restaurants

Previously, visitors to the Orange County theme park could only get a wine or cocktail at Oga's Cantina or Club 33.

ANAHEIM, CA — The Happiest Place on Earth just got a little bit happier for the 21-and-up crowd, after park officials announced that three restaurants in Disneyland will start serving alcohol on Sept. 12.

According to park officials, the Carnation Cafe on Main Street, the River Belle Terrace in Frontierland and Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square will start serving beer, wine and specialty cocktails.

New cocktail options include a Bloody Mary, a wildberry mule and a peach pie margarita, according to Walt Disneyworld News Today.

Serving alcohol at the Disneyland table service restaurants breaks a long-standing booze prohibition instituted by Walt Disney, the Orange County Register reported. According to the report, Disney was worried about bringing the "wrong crowd" of visitors.
