'Disturbing' Video Shows Man Dropkicking Puppy In OC: Report

ANAHEIM, CA — Authorities are investigating a horrific case of animal abuse in which a man was caught on video repeatedly beating a small dog, ABC7 reported.

According to the report, the man was seen holding a small dog — possibly a puppy — around 8 a.m. near Brookhurst Street and La Palma Avenue in Anaheim. After a few seconds, the man is seen kicking the puppy out of the camera's frame before allegedly beating the animal as the dog yelps in pain.

"It was heartbreaking," said OC Animal Care Public Information Officer Alexa Pratt told ABC7. "It was devastating. We never want to see animals put in that position."
