Off-Duty Police Officer Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Anaheim
The police officer was killed in a crash while riding a motorcycle in Anaheim Monday afternoon, police said.
ANAHEIM, CA — A police officer died Monday after suffering fatal injuries from a motorcycle crash in Anaheim, authorities said.
The off-duty Garden Grove police officer was reportedly driving a motorcycle in the area of Euclid Street and Glenoaks Avenue just after 3 p.m. when he crashed with another vehicle.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, officers found the off-duty officer in grave condition, and the driver of the car was trapped inside and needed to be extricated.

Both injured people were taken to a hospital, where the motorcyclist died, authorities said. The other driver was recovering from minor injuries.
Neither the injured driver nor the off-duty police officer were identified by name.

The cause of the crash was under investigation as of Tuesday, Anaheim Police Dept. Sgt. Jon McClintock said. Driving under the influence was not a factor, he said told the Orange County Register.
