Earthquake Rattles Orange County: Did You Feel It?

The preliminary 3.5 magnitude earthquake was reported in north Orange County, according to the United States Geological Survey.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA β€” A 3.5 magnitude earthquake rattled the Orange County area Monday evening.

The earthquake was reported around 8:09 p.m., about a mile east of Fullerton, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Preliminary data from the USGS reported that the earthquake had a depth of about 6.6 miles. The estimated intensity of the shaking was considered "light," officials said.

An aftershock with a preliminary 2.3 magnitude struck just 20 minutes later in the same area, reports said.

There are currently no reports of any damage or injuries, and there have yet to be any responses on the USGS β€œFelt Report.”
