Fatal Shooting Near Disneyland: 1 Killed By Police, Authorities Say
A suspect was shot and killed by police shortly after 1 p.m. less than a mile from the massive theme park, according to law enforcement.
ANAHEIM, CA — A suspect was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon near Disneyland, according to Anaheim authorities.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. at South Harbor Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue, Sgt. Jon McClintock said, less than a mile from the massive theme park. The person who was shot died at the scene, according to McClintock, who said no officers were injured.
The man was suspected of sexual assault and was fleeing police with a knife, according to KABC. He was shot at an ARCO gas station, KTLA reported, adding a perimeter took up multiple lanes of both cross streets.
