GARDEN GROVE, CA — An electric fire burned the patio cover of a Garden Grove house Saturday, and strong wind increased the risk of it spreading to the adjacent home, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 11:42 a.m. Saturday on Kerry Street, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Firefighters made a quick and aggressive attack on the smoky fire and kept it from spreading to the home despite strong winds, officials said.
