Early Monday, Fullerton firefighters assisted an injured man who was clinging to a rope in swift water.
FULLERTON, CA —Fullerton firefighters came to the rescue of an injured man, clinging to a rope in two-feet of water, authorities reported.
Residents, nearby, discovered the man in the channel and threw him the rope and called 911. They stayed until firefighters arrived. Fullerton firefighters, assisted by Anaheim Fire and Rescue, arrived at the flood control channel behind 100 block of S. Cornell Ave., a Fullerton Fire Department dispatcher said.
Witnesses at the scene said the victim "might have fallen" into the channel, according to Capt. Brian Seymour of the Fullerton Fire Department.
