The flooding was reported Thursday morning and shut down a three-mile stretch of Coast Highway in north Orange County.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Flooding from a powerful winter storm that passed over the region Thursday has prompted authorities to close a portion of Pacific Coast Highway through Huntington Beach.

The closure impacts the highway from Seapoint Street south of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve to Warner Avenue, just north of the reserve.

The closure was announced around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night by Caltrans District 12 on X, formerly Twitter.
