Food Donations Urgently Sought In OC Amid Homeless Crisis

OC Rescue Mission announced an urgent need for food items for the homeless individuals, families, veterans and others who eat there.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Are you looking to help those in need? Faith-based nonprofit Orange County Rescue Mission just issued an urgent call for food donations amid the statewide homeless crisis.

The nonprofit is collecting food at its Tustin headquarters seven days a week, and serving up healthy meals for people facing food insecurity in Orange County.

“Homelessness can affect anyone, even in affluent areas such as Orange County,” OC Rescue Mission President Bryan Crain said. “In addition to providing the basic needs of shelter and healthy food, we also train and educate people to develop life skills and vocations skills to become self-sufficient.”
