Fountain Valley Flasher Arrested For Exposing Himself At Park

A man previously convicted of multiple counts of indecent exposure was charged with flashing a girl at Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA —A man who exposed himself in front of a Fountain Valley girl was charged with indecent exposure, Monday.

Elihu Jonathan Rodriguez, 31 of Santa Ana exposed himself to a girl at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, according to authorities.

He was charged with a felony count of indecent exposure with a prior conviction and a misdemeanor count of child annoyance, according to court records.

Rodriguez was previously convicted of indecent exposure, according to court records. His planned arraignment on Monday was rescheduled for Aug. 28 in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana.

On Thursday, a girl, whose age was not released, walked by Rodriguez on Thursday at approximately 5:30 p.m.

As she passed him, on the south corner of the park at Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue, the suspect exposed himself to her, said Fountain Valley Police Department Sgt. Donald Farmer.


Rodriguez has a past record of flashing, according to records. He was convicted in March 2017 of five counts of indecent exposure and peeking into an inhabited building, all misdemeanors.

He was sentenced to 198 days in jail March 6, 2017, and placed on three years of probation, but he violated probation and was sentenced to 1,260 days in jail July 11, 2017, according to court records.
