Fugitive Who Fled OC To Mexico Returned To CA 10 Years After Crime
The former Anaheim resident wanted for his involvement in a 2012 attempted murder was extradited from Mexico and returned to OC on Friday.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A man wanted for his involvement in an attempted murder in 2012 in Anaheim was recently extradited from Mexico and returned to Orange County on Friday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation reported.
In July 2012, 33-year-old Pedro Fabian Rodriguez was declared a suspect by the Anaheim Police Department after being involved in a domestic violence incident with the mother of his two children.
Rodriguez stabbed the unidentified mother about 18 times before leaving the scene, authorities said. He was charged by the Orange County District Attorney's office with attempted murder and other violations and authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.

Shortly after issuing the warrant, investigators assigned to the case found that Rodriguez left California. The detectives then sought the help of the FBI's Fugitive Task Force to locate Rodriguez and eventually apprehend him.
Investigators were able to locate Rodriguez in Mexico earlier this year, an FBI news release said. The Mexican government issued a provisional arrest warrant for Rodriguez, and he was eventually found and taken into custody in the state of Mexico in July.
