Fullerton Pedestrian Dies After Hit And Run, Driver Arrested
A 60-year-old man was crossing at an unmarked crosswalk near Lemon Street when he was struck by a driver who fled the scene.
FULLERTON, CA — A 60-year-old man died at a hospital from injuries he suffered in a hit-and-run crash in Fullerton and the 43-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck him was in custody Friday.
Officers responded to the area of Lemon Street and Santa Fe Avenue about 6 p.m. Thursday and found the victim lying in the No. 2 lane of Lemon with serious, life-threatening injuries, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
An initial investigation determined the suspect vehicle, a 2015 gray Honda Civic, was southbound on Lemon when it struck the pedestrian, who was not in a marked crosswalk at the time, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital by Fullerton Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Honda, identified as Marianne Hall, 43, of Fullerton, left the scene prior to officers' arrival, but later returned and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing great bodily injury or death. Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be factors in the crash, police said.

The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
