Gas Leak Closes Santa Ana School District Office
A reported gas leak in front of the school district offices on Chestnut caused a closure of that building, Tuesday: BREAKING

SANTA ANA, CA — Santa Ana police notified the public of a closure on Chestnut Ave. after workers ruptured a gas line.
"Crews working on the roadway on Chestnut Ave, in front of the SAUSD District office (1601 E. Chestnut) accidentally ruptured a gas line. Orange County Fire is on scene as well as the Gas Co. The area is safe, however, both pedestrian and vehicular traffic on Chestnut Ave is closed, between Lyon and the driveway for Villa Intermediate School," Santa Ana Police said. "Parents may turn off of Grand Ave and travel up to the driveway of Villa Intermediate."
All District office personnel and visitors must exit on the west side of the District office out of the driveway near Villa Intermediate and drive westbound towards Grand Ave.

"The gas company states the road closure may last several hours," Santa Ana Police said.
