Healthcare Mission Leader Nan Onest Joins Radiant Futures Board

Experienced healthcare mission leader Nan Onest recently joined the Board of nonprofit Radiant Futures, formerly Women’s Transitional Living Center, Inc. (WTLC).

Onest is the chief mission integration officer for the Providence Clinical Network in Southern California and, alongside her team, serves 157 clinics, 3,628 providers, and 5,200 caregivers across Orange County, the High Desert, and Los Angeles.

During her nine years at Providence, Onest has been a leader in designing and facilitating formation experiences as well as culture building and leadership development programs for clinicians and frontline caregivers.

She is passionate about helping the people she serves remain connected to meaning and purpose in their work, to teach and lead through the art of storytelling, and to fully discover their own potential.

Prior to serving in this present role, Onest was the senior director of Enrollment Management at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois, and an adjunct instructor with the Department of Religious Studies at Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Indiana.

She also taught Introduction to Theology, Patristics, and Catholic Social Teaching for the Lay Ecclesial Ministry and Deacon Formation Programs at the Catholic Diocese of Gary in Indiana and contributed to a quarterly social justice column for the Northwest Indiana Catholic.

Outside the office, Onest enjoys spending time with her husband of 31 years, her children, and her two-year-old granddaughter. Other hobbies that bring joy are golf, yoga, gardening, cooking and reading.

She holds a master’s degree in Theology from Catholic Theological Union with a focus on Systematic Theology and Ethics.
