Heights Christian Schools Bluefield Campus Stages Disney’s Aladdin, JR
School's enchanting, family-friendly performances featuring a cast of talented students come to Whittier Community Theatre, Dec. 7-9, 2023
The inspired young artists in the Performing Arts Department at the Bluefield Campus of Heights Christian Schools (HCS), a 41-year-old private school system serving infancy through the eighth grade - https://www.heightschristianschools.org - invite audiences to board their magic carpets for a visit to mythical Agrabah, a city of mystery and enchantment, when they perform Disney’s Aladdin, JR. at Whittier Community Theatre.
Based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show, this beloved story with expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills spins the tale of Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim. The trio is down on its luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of Princess Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and moral character.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 7pm; Friday, December 8, 2023 at 7pm; and Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2pm and 7PM. Tickets are $10. Purchase tickets by visiting https://www.tickettailor.com/events/heightschristianschools/1049901#.

The Disney film was written by Ron Clements, John Musker, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio and directed and produced by Ron Clements and John Musker. The music is by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman, Tim Rice, and Chad Beguelin, and book by Chad Beguelin.
