Hip Hop Producer Pleads Guilty To Human Trafficking

A music producer known as "Ramsay the Great" pleaded guilty Wednesday to multiple charges, including human trafficking in Orange County.

ANAHEIM, CA — A 25-year-old Granada Hills resident and hip-hop music producer known as "Ramsay Tha Great" was sentenced to 10 years in prison for pimping four women in Orange County.

Brandon Christopher Ramsay pleaded guilty Tuesday to four counts of pimping and pandering, and one count each of human trafficking and assault with a firear — all felonies.

One of the victims, who was 19, met Ramsay during a music video production, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office. He assaulted her with a gun and choked her at least twice, prosecutors said.

Ramsay generated headlines in January when he alleged that Chicago rapper Chief Keef was the culprit behind a home-invasion robbery of Ramsay in Tarzana, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt, whose department was involved in an undercover task force operation in February in which Ramsay was busted for pimping.
