Hit-And-Run Kills Pedestrian; Suspect At Large In OC

Police were on the hunt for a new, dark-colored sedan that reportedly struck a man on a Westminster intersection Wednesday.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A man died in a hit-and-run crash in Westminster, and police were on the lookout for the suspect, authorities said Tuesday.

The crash was reported at around 10:20 p.m. Monday in the area of Westminster Boulevard and Yockey Street in between Newland Street and Magnolia Street, the Westminster Police Department reported.

The man's body was found in the eastbound lanes of Westminster Boulevard, police said.

Authorities were able to revive the man, but he later died at the scene. He was described as an Asian man in his 40s or 50s, police said. His name was not released.

A new, dark-colored sedan drove away before officers arrived and was last seen driving eastbound on Westminster Boulevard, police said.
