House Fire Erupts In Irvine

The condition of the burn victim and the smoke inhalation victims were not immediately known.

IRVINE, CA -- One person suffered burns and three to four people were being treated at the scene for smoke inhalation from a fire at a two-story home in Irvine Saturday, where firefighters also rescued a pot-bellied pig.

The condition of the burn victim and the smoke inhalation victims were not immediately known, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Daryll Milliot.

Firefighters dispatched at approximately 9:30 a.m. to the 4000 block of Rafael Street, on a report of a structure fire with a person trapped, had the fire out within 20 minutes of their arrival.

The burn victim was transported to an area hospital, Milliot said.
