ICE Puts Hold On Man Charged In Fatal OC Crash: Report
A 21-year-old man was accused of killing one driver and injuring another in Orange County while running from police.
ANAHEIM, CA — A detainer has been lodged by Federal immigration officials against a 21-year-old undocumented man from Colombia accused of killing one driver and injuring another while fleeing police in January, The Orange County Register reported.
Darin Felipe Bahamon Martinez was originally pulled over on Jan. 22 for driving recklessly in Anaheim while behind the wheel of a Jeep Gladiator.
According to the report, when officers tried to pull the man over, he peeled off and proceeded to hit two cars during a police pursuit. A 59-year-old man died and an 83-year-old woman was hospitalized with minor injuries as a result of the crash, the report said.
