JARS by Fabio Viviani in Laguna Niguel Launches ALS Fundraiser in May

In a heartfelt tribute to a deeply personal cause, Chef Fabio Viviani and his partners at JARS by Fabio Viviani in Laguna Niguel are launching a month-long fundraiser this May to support Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, a leading nonprofit organization based in Orange County, California, founded by Augie Nieto and dedicated to funding innovative ALS research. Before his passing from ALS in 2023, Nieto was the founder and CEO of Life Fitness and the chairman of the ALS Therapy Development Institute, which has raised more than $150 million for research.

Throughout the month of May, a portion of proceeds from every purchase of the Red Velvet JARS dessert at the Laguna Niguel location at 27981 Greenfield Drive will go directly to Augie’s Quest. The decadent, handcrafted dessert represents a sweet step forward in the fight against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disease that robs people of their ability to walk, talk, eat, and eventually breathe. Today, there is no known cure but there is hope.

The effort stems from Chef Fabio’s own family experience as his beloved mother-in-law battled ALS for more than a decade, becoming a beacon of strength and resilience to those around her. Inspired by her courage, Chef Fabio is channeling his passion for food into a mission to make a difference.
