Kitten Stuck In Spare Tire Rescued, Thanks To OC Firefighters
A stray cat was rescued by Orange County firefighters after a resident found it stuck in a spare tire.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — An Orange County stray just found its forever home after being rescued by OC Fire Authority firefighters.
The incident occurred this week, when a Garden Grove resident heard meowing and found a kitten stuck in his car's spare tire.
According to authorities, firefighters were called to the scene and tried using soap to ease the kitten out.

"When tried and true soap didn't help ease the cat out, Engine 86 teamed up with Truck 81 to safely free it with the truck's reciprocating saw," an OCFA statement read. "They used a large spoon to protect the kitten from the blade, and water to cool down the area while they worked."

The kitten was rescued without injuries and promptly adopted by the resident who found it.
